About Us
Welcome to Ben Williams Law, a Richmond, Virginia Immigration law firm. We’re based in Virginia but we can and have helped clients all across the country and world.
At Ben Williams Law, we focus on simplifying everything for our client. To that end, we offer:
- Initial Consultations: They can be over the phone, in-person at our office, or virtual.
- Flat-Rate Prices: This means you will know the exact price before you hire us and that price covers every step of your case. We don’t charge per email or phone call so if you ever have questions while your case is pending, you are free to contact us at no extra cost.
- The only additional cost will be normal expenses such as shipping costs, document translation fees, and government filing fees, if applicable.
- Flexible payment plan options: We understand that your case is important and you want to start as soon as possible, even if you can’t pay it all up front. At Ben Williams Law, we’re happy to help! Almost every case begins with a down payment amount and then a low monthly payment for the rest. You’ll never have to pay us thousands of dollars just to start your case.
- Our process is streamlined and tailored to your preferences. Some clients prefer email, some prefer texts or phone calls, and others like to do everything in person. We have options for everyone. Our technology allows us to share your case status online, send and receive evidence by email or through a secure client portal, or do things the “old-fashioned” way in-person at the office.
Meet the Attorney
My name is Ben Williams, immigration lawyer and owner of Ben Williams Law, PLLC.
My representation begins with an initial consult to find out about your case. During this consult I will get the information I need to determine if I can take your case. I will tell you if I can help you and, sometimes more importantly, I will tell you if I can’t.
If you do decide to hire me, we’ll agree to a flat-fee price and a payment plan option. Once you sign the contract we’ll be ready to get started. As we work on your case, you will have appointments either with me or my paralegal, Diana Taylor. Once you are a client, every consult, phone call, email, or question you have is included in the flat-rate price.
The only additional costs you might have are expenses related to government filing fees, postage fees, or translation costs, if necessary.
I did not know what kind of lawyer I was going to be for most of law school. I sort of fell into starting an immigration law firm in 2014, mostly because I was able to speak Spanish.
Immigration law has since become my entire career. I have always had an interest in human rights and equality, and part of why I wanted to become a lawyer was to stick up for and represent those who really need help.
I’ve had the opportunity to represent asylum seekers, unite families, and even just help explain and simplify a needlessly complicated form. I have enjoyed all of it because I enjoy helping people. I pride myself on being honest, fair, and I strive to always put my clients’ needs first.
The only thing I enjoy more than running my law firm is spending time with my wife and our daughter, who was born in 2020. We like to spend time around Richmond attending the many festivals or supporting the many local businesses, restaurants and breweries.
Sincerely,
